Break Free from Fear
Reclaim Confidence, Calm, and Control
Everyone experiences fear at some point—but for many, fears and phobias can become overwhelming, even debilitating. Whether it's a fear of flying, choking, or medical procedures, these responses can interfere with your daily life, relationships, career, and health. Hypnosis helps rewire automatic reactions and replace them with calm, confident responses.
Phobias are intense, irrational fears of specific objects, activities, or situations. These fears often develop subconsciously—sometimes without a clear cause—and can trigger overwhelming anxiety, avoidance behaviours, panic attacks, and a sense of being “out of control.”
Hypnotherapy addresses the subconscious root of fear, helping to uncover the original cause or emotional trigger, reduce automatic anxiety or panic responses, reframe old patterns and limiting beliefs, and create new, calming associations with previously feared situations.
We support clients with a wide range of fears, including but not limited to:
- Fear of Flying or Travel (Aviophobia) to address anxiety before or during flights, panic attacks on planes or at airports and avoidance of necessary travel.
- Fear of Medical Procedures like needles and injections (trypanophobia), surgery or dental visits, fear of anesthesia, hospitals, doctors or pill swallowing (phagophobia).
- Fear of Vomiting or Illness (Emetophobia) that can result in avoidance of public spaces or certain foods, hypervigilance around hygiene or sickness and/or negatively impacting eating, social life, and parenting.
- Fear of Death or Dying (Thanatophobia) where you have a fear of your own mortality or that of loved ones and intrusive thoughts, anxiety, or existential distress.
- Specific Phobias such as spiders (arachnophobia), snakes (ophidiophobia), heights (acrophobia), water (aquaphobia), enclosed spaces (claustrophobia), darkness (nyctophobia), loud sounds (phonophobia).
- Fear of Eating, Swallowing, or Choking leading to the avoidance of certain textures or solid foods, gag reflex issues or fear of choking, and/or associated with trauma or anxiety.
- Agoraphobia where one fears crowds, open spaces, or unfamiliar places or Social Phobia, resulting in feeling fearful of embarrassment, judgment, leading to panic in public spaces, or avoidance of leaving home or engaging socially.
- Health Anxiety (Hypochondria) is characterized by excessive worry about having or developing illness and/or repeated doctor visits or avoidance of healthcare.
Using guided relaxation, visualization, and positive suggestion, hypnotherapy gently shifts the brain’s fear response—without the need to relive traumatic memories. You remain in control and aware during the process. Rather than simply managing symptoms, hypnosis addresses the source of fear—whether it’s a past experience, belief, or stored emotional memory. Many clients experience a sense of control and ease after just a few sessions. It’s a gentle, effective way to break free from fear and reclaim your freedom.
The number of sessions typically required to address this issue is 4 to 6.
You don’t have to live in fear. Whether you've been avoiding travel, medical care, foods, or daily life situations, hypnotherapy offers hope and real relief.
